The Dual-Track MA in School Leadership offers preparation for emerging school leaders in both public and independent school settings. Through the dual-track cohort model, all candidates will complete four core classes together, learning from colleagues as well as from faculty and curriculum. Then the cohorts —one for Texas principal certification preparation and one for independent or Christian school leaders — split for the other four classes.
The program will consist of two on-campus intensives (two weeks in June and one week in January) coupled with virtual learning that will allow leaders to remain in their current professional roles while completing course work in one year. Once coursework is complete, the degree will culminate in a capstone research project that addresses an identified problem of practice in the leaders’ current school contexts.
